These Terms govern your use of the Kurrb iPhone app and this website (together, the Service). By using Kurrb, you agree to them.
1. What Kurrb is
Kurrb is a friction tool. It uses Apple's Screen Time to pause selected apps when they hit your usage limit, then reopens them after you take a small number of steps. It is not a medical device, a treatment for any condition, or a guaranteed way to change your habits. It is a gentle speed bump and nothing more.
2. Using Kurrb
You must be at least 13 years old to use Kurrb. Your setup lives on your device. You are responsible for the settings you choose, including selected apps, usage limit, step goal, and optional Plus settings.
3. Permissions
Kurrb needs Screen Time (Family Controls) to shield apps and Motion and Fitness to count steps. If you decline or later revoke these in iOS Settings, parts of Kurrb will not work. You can grant, review, or remove them at any time.
4. You are always in control
Kurrb is designed so you are never trapped. You can use emergency unlock, skip a break, change your settings, or remove Kurrb's Screen Time access in iOS Settings whenever you want. This is intentional.
5. Reliability
Kurrb relies on Apple's Screen Time and motion features, which can behave differently across devices, iOS versions, and system conditions. We do not guarantee that a lock will always hold or that steps will always register instantly. Do not rely on Kurrb for anything safety critical.
6. App availability and purchases
Kurrb features, availability, App Store listings, subscriptions, and pricing may change over time. If you purchase Kurrb Plus, Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase status so Kurrb can unlock the correct entitlement.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not reverse engineer, tamper with, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
- Do not use Kurrb in any unlawful way.
8. Disclaimers
Kurrb is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Step counts and app blocking are provided for convenience and may occasionally be inaccurate or delayed.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Kurrb is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date above.
